I’d seen this handle being used on Instagram by a lot of folks I follow, so wanted to give them a try. I was not disappointed!
I’ve solely been using Citadel handles before, and noticed that I was having to flip the handle around a lot to get to where I wanted to paint. This new handle lets me move the model around as I wanted, letting me focus on the right areas without moving my hand in awkward ways!
The different attachments mean that I am able to work on whole models or sub assembly parts. Already had some models primed on the same day it turned up! Because it is light, I don’t get cramps in my hand if I’m holding it for a long time. Bonus!
The starter bundle came with a large number of attachments, and I hear that the future only holds more parts to affix to the modular handle, so why not pick one up and go along for the ride? I know I am!
Have to be honest the build quality is fairly poor and it’s possibly the worst painting handle I have used. Maybe it’s just mine but it’s very janky!
I already own several types of painting handles and had one that I used daily that I was perfectly happy with. The only difficulty I had was that they were not great for small sub-assemblies. That's why I chose to buy the handle from Worn Bristle Studios - the conical attachment seemed ideal.
After a couple of days of using it, the Worn Bristle Studios painting handle became my hot favourite.
- The conical mount is indeed, excellent for small sub-assemblies.
- The handle is comfortable to hold.
- Blu-tack adheres well to the surface when attaching your miniature.
- The feature that allows you to adjust the angle of the mini is really useful (much better than I thought).
This is a great product and the starter bundle gives you everything you need.

Definite Improvement over the GW handle I have been using however there are a couple of points worth mentioning: 1 the handle is very light and easily knocked over. 2 the neck of the handle is very narrow which if gripped can cause hand cramps. 3. The screw in the cork base can rip out if done up tighter than it's limit (not much so don't make it tight) and wreck the cork base.
